The Hangar was designed to serve 3 purposes :
Allow for players to test weapons
Have a place to test features and abilities
A place to also hold collectibles found in game.
For this, the Hangar has a spawn location in the main room, and then splits into the separate areas. The collectables room is still being modeled, and will accommodate all the collectibles eventually added into the game.
The hallway to the firing range also has a camera based mirror, so players can see how their body moves in full body
The range is where weapons can be tested.
There are 2 handed weapons, 1 handed weapons, and damage can be dealt both with ballistics or physically with melee damage.
There are are also moveable targets so players can test accuracy at range. At the same time there are battery dispensers on the walls so players can spawn more batteries as they need instead of relying on just charging them.
The trials room allows for the testing of features. These include areas for dynamic height, climbing, ledge jumping, and sliding.
There is also a time trial in the center. Anything with a red outline effect is a climbable object. The time trial starts at the base of the mechanical centerpiece and ends at the top. It was a challenge designing something players could climb both around and in, but with the different pathing options it's satisfying being able to maneuver around such a unique object.
