Using Geometry as a tool
A Spider-Man I was working on as a VRC character, but also as a simple rig I could use for fun animation stuff. Wanted to capture what an early “classic” version of Spidey would look like. I also wanted to see how’d he’d look with some of the Sketchfab rendering options!
I saw someone else use the technique of the reversed and backfaced normals for the outline, but shifted to create a rim light effect I just had to try for myself. I think it adds a cool little flair!
